fractionalFractional properties offering sun kissed beaches in idyllic locations are easy to come by, offering you the opportunity to unwind in your own personal pocket of tranquillity in an exotic locale but without sacrificing your wi-fi connection or perfectly chilled glass of white.

For those looking for a bit more activity from their fractional there are obviously plenty of golfing opportunities out there but what about the folks who crave  the bustle of a major city?

A couple of days on the beach or in the countryside (forget the golf, I’
m hopeless despite the fact that I do own a rather fetching collection of expensive carbon fibre / titanium wotsit clubs that I really should dig out the garage and eBay... anyway, I digress) and I’m desperate to get back to the hubbub and activity a city provides. 

The good news for me and others like me is that city based fractional opportunities are on the increase- particularly in the traditionally popular cities of London, Paris and New York.  Appealing not only to those who prefer to holiday in such areas as a rule but also  those craving a pied-a-terre to balance out their more relaxing beach/golf/ski holidays or for use as a crash-pad when visiting on business.

 There are certainly plenty of opportunities out there as a look on Fractionallife.com will show but let’s look at a few of the main ones in those key areas.  Beginning closest to home with London’s very own 47 Park Street.

Amongst the hustle and bustle of New York you will find the St. Regis Hotel , the eighth and ninth floors of which have been masterfully transformed to present The St Regis Residence Club, New York.   There are studios, and one- and two-bedroom units covering a broad range of prices points for a share with 28 days of use a year with the potential to provide 5 Star hotel levels of service combined with the benefits of fractional ownership.

Also generating buzz is The Phillips Club, New York.  Located at Lincoln Square on Manhattan's Upper West Side and offers one-eighth deeded ownership in studio, one, and two-bedroom residences.
