Another Century for Truffle Tree
Just like our cricketers out there facing the Aussies, Truffle Tree love chalking up the occasional century. But unlike the English team they are currently celebrating a huge milestone – the adoption of there seven hundredth tree. And the new owner of tree number seven hundred turned out to be a rather prominent fellow – none other than Martin Hagen, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. A rather happy coincidence is that Dick Pyle, owner of Truffle Tree happens to also be a member of his flock. Martin is not even the first holder of his office to adopt a truffle tree; Graham Ward, President some years ago, has been a tree owner since 2003.
Truffle tree adopters include a pace of double Oscar winners, a leading pop star, several TV presenters, knights of the realm, best-selling writers, a lord, a lady and loads of business leaders. Many adopters have already visited their tree and discovered this peaceful, unspoilt corner of France.
Truffle Tree, based in Gascony, South West France, offers truffle oaks for adoption. Tree owners enjoy all the truffles found in their tree’s 20 square metre plot.
