Walt Disney Residence Club

Walt Disney World Co. has finalised the sale of 298 acres of land to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for a hotel and golf course that will form part of a new luxury resort announced last year as part of an expansion of Walt Disney World Resort.

Located alongside Walt Disney World, the resort will include a 445-room Four Seasons hotel and a Residence Club alongside an 18-hole championship golf course, as well as custom single- and multi-family vacation homes.

This development further demonstrates the march of fractional ownership into the mainstream consumer consciousness.

The development was first announced back in March 2007, and the project’s initial site preparation work is already underway with actual building construction expected to begin early in 2009 with opening date pegged as sometime in 2012.
